How do I dl from rapidshare.com?

Rapidshare is a file hosting service that allows users to upload and download files using their servers. Users are able to pay for a premium membership which allows them to dl 5Gb of data per day. Free users are able to dl as much as they want but each ip address can only dl 100MB every other hour. If you are able to change your ip address you can dl 1 file at a time until you run out of addresses for that hour. There are several ways to change your ip address and even dl managers that will do it for you.

If you have compatable hardware and connection dl managers like http://cryptload.info/ rapiddowner. There are many and work with most routers and dsl modems

Manual ip change: if you are connected directly to your cable/dsl modem.

1: go to start, run and type cmd then enter.

2: type ipconfig and note the numbers that are assigned to you, they will stay on screen.

3: type ipconfig/release and press enter

Unplug your cable modem for 5 sec. plug it basckin and wait for the ready light to stay lit

Type ipconfig/renew

You should now have a new ip address. If you don’t, try it again. You have to wait long enough for someone in your ip network to take your old ip address and some times you will get the old one back after a few changes. That is why you should pay attention to the numbers you get. This process takes me 1 min and I am able to dl one file at a time, indeffeniatly.

Router ip change: most routers are able to assign a specific ip address and you are able to change it.

1: open web brouser and type the address of your router. Usually 192.168.1.1 or something similar. If asked for a password and you don’t know it, admin/admin is usually the default on routers.

2: click on the status tab and note ip address, it will disappear and you don’t want the same one back.

3: click on release, wait for it to refresh and then click on renew

4: you should now have a new ip address. If it is the same as before you can try entering the address manually

Once you have a dvd and you want to share it. The hole process thakes up from 4 to 12 gb of hard drive space. You can share the entire full quality movie, dvdR, xvid or mkv by making . you need to strip the movie off of the disc. This process is complicated because there are copyright locks on most of the retail movies available. To strip the movie from the disc use dvdfabdecrypter, a free regularly updated utility available from www.dvdidle.com Or use dvd clone. These sofwares allow you to fine tune the dvd extraction by only extracting the movie and no menus or select the audio you want. If you are going to burn a dual layer disc you can copy the entire thing if you are going to use a single layer, you will need to size the movie accordingly. Most of the time you can extract the movie only and be able to fit it on one disc. If it will not fit you can choose to use two disc or shrink the movie to fit on the single disc. This can be done with everything on the disc but best quality is achibed by shrinking only the movie. The shrink software changes the framerate of the source so that the movie will fit on one disc no matter what. These coppies have great quality and you will notice little difference from the original

Once you have the movie on your computer and you want to share it over the internet you could share the entre thing full quality or change the format and reduce the sizeand uploading time greatly . to do this you will need a program to encode video called autogk

People share movies on the internet and you can too. These movies are uploaded to rapidshare a web host that charges a fee to use their service or you can use for free limited. Every 2 hours you can dl 100mb per ip address. If you can change your ip address you can dl for free all day long and not have to pay. There are dl managers that will change your ip address and dl automaticlay. If you can get one of these to work for you, it is the best way to go. Or if you can use proxy servers. Rs is different from torrents because the movie is on a hd located at rs, not on yor or anothers computer. The only people who know hat your are downloading is rs and your isp or lack there of.

What do I do with the avi file? You can watch it on your computer using vlc, burn it and watch on divx player or rip it to dvd and watch it on any dvd player. About half of the users who dl videos convert it to dvd and watch it on a normal dvd player and their tv. This process is easy but can take some time. I use win avi to convert to dvd because it is easy to use. You should expect to put 2 90 min movies or one 120 min movie per disc to get best quality. Using medium quality I can get 4 hours on one disc but don’t press your luck stay well under that and shoot for a max of 3 hour per disc.

If you have a divx/mp4 player you should be able to watch most of the stuff on that. Fill a disc with movies and press play. A standard dvd can hold 3 to 6 full length movies or 12 one hour tv shows. This is a great way to go but quality depends on the way your player is set up, dvi, svideo, proscan, up conversion…..

I prefer to watch the stuff right from my computer. Most computers can now hook directly up to your hdtv either through svideo, d-sub, dvi or hdmi. Hook up the sound using spdif and you are set. You can even get a remote control for your computer so you can use it like a dvd player. This is the best way to go. Computer video players alow you to fine tune the output to any situation. It is easy to add vibrance, or crop the picture
